Building Surveyor
Job Description
Posted on: October 3, 2025
Shape your career, not just your projects.
This is an opportunity to join a growing Leeds team as a Building Surveyor. You’ll get the variety, support and progression you need without being tied to one type of work or sector.
You’ll cover everything from surveys, dilapidations and defect analysis to design, specification and contract administration.
One week might see you out on site, the next working on a multi-disciplinary scheme with colleagues across different specialisms. It’s a role that keeps you learning and progressing, rather than standing still.
What you’ll get here:
- Structured APC support and a clear route to Chartership.
- Flexibility and a workload that respects your evenings and weekends.
- Exposure to a broad range of projects — education, commercial, industrial, and more.
- Recognition for good work through bonuses, progression and a collaborative team culture.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering both projects and professional services.
- Producing surveys, reports, specifications and defect analysis.
- Running contract administration and supporting on multi-disciplinary schemes.
- Representing the business with clients and at networking events.
What you’ll need:
- A RICS-accredited degree and ambition to become Chartered.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A full driving licence and confidence with IT/software.
- To be personable, professional, and proactive in a client-facing role.
About the firm
You’ll be part of a consultancy with over 1,400 people across the UK, delivering thousands of projects every year. The Leeds office is ambitious, expanding, and offers the perfect platform to grow your career in a supportive environment.
