Joining our Rod and Bar Mill Team as a Mechanical Maintenance Manager, your days will be exciting and varied. Your time will be spent between the offices, and down on the plant, so no two days will look the same. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading, inspiring and managing the Mechanical Engineering and Craft teams
- Managing mechanical maintenance projects, including their scope, resource allocation, and safety requirements
- Prioritising health and safety policies in all areas of your work, and leading by example
You will have previous experience of leading Mechanical Engineering teams, and be able to influence, inspire and develop your employees, as well as communicate effectively with wider teams to ensure the successful running of the plant. Because your background is in the steel industry, specifically hot rolling mills, you will have the confidence and ability to get involved in projects straight away. As well as your advanced technical skills, you will also bring passion, purpose, adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset to 7 Steel UK.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will require a degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc minimum)
