Job Scope

As an ActiveQuote Junior Finance Assistant 3 months FTC, you will form part of the ActiveQuote Finance function and will be responsible for processing and reconciling commission statements along with day to day finance tasks. Assistance will be expected with ad-hoc duties.

The successful candidate will be efficient, fast to absorb new knowledge and tools, and disciplined in maintaining focus on deliverables.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Input of commission statements daily - manual data entry and excel uploads.
  • Reconciliation of commission statements – reconcile commission transactions against expected returns.
  • Commission anomaly queries – professionally communicate with insurers and in-house sales and support staff resolving any commission queries.
  • Bank Reconciliation – ensure that bank transactions reconcile with the commission statements received.
  • Ad-hoc tasks
  • To constantly display and encourage ActiveQuote company values of INTEGRITY, UNITY, INNOVATION and PASSION

Skills & EducationEssential

  • High Level Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tools, systems, and processes
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with a track record of efficient work delivery
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain focus on complex tasks
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently and stay on task
  • Strong communication skills – email and face to face
  • Team Player – working with the team to meet deadlines
  • Minimum of 3 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above

Desirable

  • AAT or equivalent
  • Experience in Reconciliations
  • Experience in revenue collection and financial systems maintenance.
  • A working knowledge of Quickbooks/Sage
  • A background working in a finance function
  • A background in Insurance
