Job Title: MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Midlands, UK

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our contracting team delivering commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the Midlands. The role involves managing the commercial aspects of MEP contracts, providing accurate cost reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and programme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage MEP cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for projects.
• Produce interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
• Undertake cost control, value engineering, and risk management for MEP works.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, manage variations, and resolve contractual issues.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and commercial teams to optimise project delivery.
• Provide advice on procurement strategies and contractual matters.
• Assist with tendering, reviewing MEP proposals, and preparing commercial reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and quality standards.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor within a contractor environment.
• Extensive experience working on construction projects in the Midlands.
• Strong knowledge of JCT, NEC, and other standard construction contracts.
• Excellent commercial and cost management skills.
• Proficiency in industry software (e.g., CostX, Aconex, Excel).
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or related discipline.
• RICS or CIOB membership preferred.
