We’re hiring a consulting-trained Manager to focus on Commercial & Supply Chain Transformation, with responsibility for leading major programmes and owning senior client relationships.
We’re looking for candidates from Big 4 or boutique consulting backgrounds who’ve delivered commercially-driven transformation programmes - including strategic sourcing, cost optimisation, and operating model improvement - ideally within NHS, public sector, or private healthcare environments.
You’ll thrive in this role if you’ve:
- Led large-scale programmes
- Delivered measurable financial impact
- Owned senior stakeholders and programme-level delivery outcomes
At Akeso, you’ll own workstreams end-to-end -> from shaping the problem through to implementing solutions and delivering tracked financial and operational outcomes.
We partner with NHS organisations, Trusts, ICSs, and private healthcare providers operating under real cost and capacity pressure - so the focus is always on commercial impact, value creation, and deliverability, not just recommendations.
Much of our work is delivered at Trust, ICS, and system level, supporting organisations through complex commercial and operational change.

- Commercial transformation
Helping clients deliver value across key commercial levers: price, demand, process, and risk
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading major client workstreams and acting as day-to-day client lead on complex engagements
- Delivering end-to-end strategic sourcing and commercial transformation programmes
- Owning delivery from diagnosis → strategy → implementation
- Developing business cases, category strategies, and commercial models
- Driving cost optimisation and value creation across procurement and operations
- Working directly with senior clinical, operational, and finance stakeholders
- Leading small teams and being accountable for delivery quality and outcomes
This is a delivery-accountable role - you’ll be responsible for implementation, not just recommendations.
This is a strong fit if:
- You've owned senior client stakeholders and programme‑level delivery outcomes
- You’ve delivered commercial or strategic sourcing programmes with real financial impact
- You’re comfortable operating in NHS or similarly complex, regulated environments (or keen to deepen your NHS exposure)
- You prefer hands-on delivery and ownership, not just advisory work
- You’re currently working in consulting at Manager level (or operating at that level)
It’s not a fit if:
- You haven’t worked in a consulting or client-delivery environment
- Your experience is primarily operational or industry-side procurement
- You’re looking for a role focused primarily on strategy development rather than delivery and implementation
