Please note that this vacancy may be withdrawn at any time should it be filled via the internal redeployment processJob Overview SERVICE TRANSFORMATION MANAGER The Division of Clinical Support Services is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the senior management team in the role as service transformation manager The post holder will provide service planning support to the Clinical Support Services Division as a senior manager within Aneurin Bevan Health Board working closely with the Divisional Manager, General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The post holder will provide best practice pro-active and technical planning advice and support to the organisation on service plans, strategies and service development approaches. With a sound understanding of the theory and practice of various service planning and improvement methodologies and techniques, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that service plans and development projects reflect the balance of clinical effectiveness, quality and patient safety with productivity and efficiency measures. The post holder will be required to lead specific projects and plans necessary to develop and deliver new service models, financial savings plans and provide support for the Health Board’s strategic plans. Provide direct support to the management team and deputise in their absence. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job Provide service planning support to the Clinical Support Services Division, facilitating delivery of key and specific areas of Division service plans aimed at improving service provision across the ‘whole system’. Be a Senior Manager of the CSSD team within ABUHB. Working with Divisional Director, Divisional General, Assistant General Manager, other senior managers, and clinicians. To provide pro-active and technical planning advice and support to the organisation on service plans, strategies and service development approaches. Have understanding of the theory and practice of various service planning and improvement methodologies and techniques, including benefits planning and will work with Divisional, Service Change Plan Leads and ABCi colleagues to support both strategic and operational management and reporting to the Health Board and Welsh Government. Responsibility to ensuring that service plans and development projects reflect the balance of clinical effectiveness, quality and patient safety with productivity and efficiency measures, and that they capture the variety of activities carried out in an integrated health organisation. Lead specific projects and plans necessary to develop and deliver new service models, financial savings plans and provide support for CSSD strategic plans. Develop plans, reports and updates as required by the Divisional Management Team, Executive Team. Provide direct support to the management team and deputise in their absence. - Capacity/demand management and planning
- Proven ability to achieve targets and objectives within a demanding and pressured environment against challenging deadlines
Experience Essential criteria
- Previous senior NHS experience
- Experience of complex service planning in a health or social care role
- Demonstrable success in building, leading, motivating and developing teams
Education Essential criteria
- Masters level qualification or equivalent level of work experience
- Project management qualification/experience
- Evidence of CPD
