Data Analytics Manager – PowerBI
Up to £65,000
Belfast – 2 days on-site
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Data and Analytics professional to take ownership of a growing Power BI and analytics environment, combining hands-on technical delivery with team management and stakeholder engagement.
This is a player-manager role rather than a purely strategic management position. You’ll remain close to the technology, building Power BI solutions, working with data, exploring AI opportunities and helping shape how analytics is delivered across the organisation.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the day-to-day Power BI environment
- Build and improve Power BI reports and dashboards using Power Query, DAX and data modelling.
- Use SQL to interrogate complex datasets.
- Work with senior stakeholders across areas including Finance, Commercial and Operations
- Lead and prioritise a backlog of BI, analytics and AI initiatives
- Explore practical applications of generative AI, Copilot, AI agents and automation across reporting, analysis and business processes.
- Develop HTML-based dashboards and analytical applications
- Coordinate BI analysts, developers and data engineers
- Establish strong standards around data quality, governance, security, testing and the ongoing support of analytical products.
- Coach and develop members of the BI and analytics team while remaining hands-on technically.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience across Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence or a related discipline.
- Advanced hands-on Power BI experience, including Power BI Service, semantic modelling, Power Query, DAX and deployment practices.
- Strong SQL skills and confidence working with complex datasets.
- Previous experience managing, mentoring or coordinating BI, analytics or data professionals.
- Experience developing HTML dashboards or web-based analytical applications, ideally with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Practical experience applying AI, LLMs, Copilot, AI agents or automation to business problems.
- Exposure to modern cloud data platforms, ideally Microsoft Fabric and the wider Microsoft data ecosystem.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
