Based on continued growth, Hartland Fire have an immediate requirement for an experienced Finance Specialist. The role will be based in Hartland Fire's Head Office on the outskirts of Cardiff City Centre.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our finance team. As part of a national group, you will be play a pivotal part in Hartland Fire's day to day operation in Cardiff - whilst working in partnership with colleagues across the UK.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the accounts department by managing accounts payable, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position is ideal for someone with a keen interest in accounting and finance who is looking to develop their skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
  • Process invoices and reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices.
  • Maintain financial records using accounting software (Pegasus Opera 3), ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve any billing issues or queries.
  • Support the local payroll function
  • Perform general administrative duties related to the finance department as required.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping / finance role or similar position is essential.
  • Familiarity with Pegasus Opera 3 would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and suppliers effectively.
