The Role

We’re seeking an ambitious and technically minded Business Development Manager to drive growth across existing and emerging markets. You’ll identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and position Approved Air as the UK leader in air quality, validation, and sustainable ventilation compliance.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in HVAC, cleanrooms, validation, compliance testing, or environmental services who is ready to shape the company’s future growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new clients in pharma, healthcare, biotech, defence, and commercial sectors.
• Manage and develop existing client relationships to increase repeat business and long-term contracts.
• Lead tender submissions and proposals for framework agreements and private contracts.
• Collaborate with technical teams to develop bespoke air quality and validation solutions.
• Contribute to Approved Air’s Net Zero Roadmap and sustainability integration strategy.
• Represent the brand at industry events, exhibitions, and LinkedIn campaigns.
• Work directly with the Managing Director to deliver the company’s 2026 Growth Plan.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in business development or commercial management within HVAC, engineering, or compliance sectors.
• Knowledge of ventilation systems, validation, or cleanroom environments is highly desirable.
• Understanding of Net Zero, ESG, or ISO 14001 principles preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a consultative sales approach.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and confident working with both technical and commercial teams.
