Relationship ManagerFull-Time, based in CardiffSalary - £35K
The Relationship Manager is responsible for the delivery of key A&B Cymru programmes and services and acts as a primary point of contact for businesses across South & West Wales.
The role requires highly developed influencing skills and an instinctive approach to problem-solving. The successful candidate will also be creative, dynamic, proactive and highly efficient.
Responsibilities include:
- To promote A&B Cymru’s mission and services and provide information and advice on the charity’s work to business and the arts;
- To proactively and efficiently account manage the majority of South & West Wales Business Members;
- To support the co-ordination and administration of Business Membership across Wales, ensuring income is carefully monitored and renewals are timely and efficient;
- To support the recruitment of new Business Members for South & West Wales, working closely with the Business Development Director;
- To support the recruitment of sponsors for A&B Cymru’s events;
- To co-manage the Professional Development Programmes in South & West Wales, working closely with the Head of Arts and other team members;
- To write regular case studies for use on A&B Cymru’s website and other promotional methods;
- To keep accurate records and assist with A&B Cymru’s reporting to the Board, the Arts Council of Wales and other funders, as required;
- To assist in the promotion of A&B Cymru through website and Social Media;
- To assist and support the Chief Executive in any other work which might be reasonably required;
- To maintain the highest professional standards of ethics and practices upheld by A&B Cymru.
Essential skills & knowledge:
· Highly developed and confident communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to analyse and understand, thinking laterally to identify creative solutions to business challenges
· Highly developed interviewing skills – ability to listen and question
· Accomplished planning, organisational, administrative and time management skills
· Proficient Presentation skills
Essential experience
· A minimum of three years’ management experience in an arts or business environment
· Proven track-record of partnership development or collaborative working
· Experience of the private and / or arts sector and awareness of the major issues facing both
· Customer Care background

· Excellent interpersonal skills and credibility with professionals from a wide range of backgrounds
· Open, positive and engaging team player with the drive to work independently
· Discreet and able to deal with confidential, sensitive information
· Diplomatic and calm under pressure
· Flexibility and willingness to travel as required and to attend events
· Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the work of A&B Cymru and knowledge of the arts in Wales
· Commitment to quality
· Comprehensive understanding of Wales – its economy, governance and culture
