Contract Role – Financial Reporting Manager – Leeds – Contract till June 26 – Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager will support delivery of key reporting and compliance activities including external audit, FRS101 statutory accounts preparation, and corporation tax & VAT returns.

We are looking for an experienced finance professional with multiple years of experience of working with external financial audit, statutory accounts preparation, technical accounting and tax compliance to support the business during a busy period.

• Preparation of two sets of FRS101 statutory financial accounts, including more involved technical workings in relation to IFRS16, IFRS2, and corporation & deferred tax estimates, and working with stakeholders in the business to collate narrative disclosures.
• Supporting the Financial Controller with audit management; coordinating requests between audit team and finance team, unblocking issues, helping prioritise, preparing workpapers, dealing with audit queries, monitoring and addressing risks to timetable.
• Supporting the submission of corporation tax returns through preparation and collation of information, and acting as conduit between external advisors / group tax team and local finance teams.
• Working with ledger teams to prepare and review VAT returns
• Working across multiple systems and with high volumes of data and complex reconciliations to ensure ledgers are ready for audit following a finance system transition during the year
• Reports to Financial Controller and has no direct reports
