Head of Brand Strategy & Planning

Our client is a high-profile, multi-brand organisation with a portfolio of widely recognised consumer brands and a strong national presence. Following continued investment, they are now looking to appoint a Head of Brand Strategy & Planning, a pivotal leadership role responsible for defining and driving the future direction of the brand portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to operate at scale, setting long-term brand vision while owning the short to medium term roadmap, ensuring the business continues to grow, differentiate and lead in a highly competitive consumer landscape.

The Role

  • Lead the development of a 5-year brand strategy, including positioning, architecture, audiences and value propositions across a diverse portfolio
  • Own and govern the 18-month rolling brand plan, aligning Commercial, Insight, Digital, Operations and Finance teams around clear priorities
  • Translate strategic direction into actionable plans and briefs that drive consistency and impact across all brands
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Brand Leads to deliver best-in-class brand management
  • Champion innovation in brand experience, leveraging consumer insight, cultural trends and data to evolve propositions
  • Define and track brand performance, ensuring investment delivers measurable commercial outcomes
  • Act as a senior brand authority, influencing and aligning stakeholders across the organisation

About You

  • Proven experience leading brand strategy within a large-scale, consumer-facing organisation (e.g. retail, FMCG, hospitality, leisure, or similar)
  • Strong track record of long-term brand planning and strategic development
  • Highly commercial, with the ability to connect brand strategy to tangible business performance
  • Comfortable operating at senior level, influencing across complex stakeholder environments
