Picture this Imagine being part of a national team that travels across England, working with local authorities to understand how they support people in their communities.

The role You’ll work closely with others to deliver shared outcomes. In this role, you’ll:

  • Undertake Assessments: work as part of a team to carry out assessments and gather evidence to assess how local authorities meet their duties under the Care Act 2014.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with colleagues across CQC and external partners and stakeholders to form clear, fair judgments about care quality.
  • Support Improvement: Identify opportunities for local authorities to improve services and share best practice to help drive change.

Show Us We will be looking for specific skills, knowledge and experience in your application form:

  • Experience in Social Care Delivery: You’ve worked with or for a local authority in delivering social care functions and understand how services support people.
  • Assessment and Analysis Skills: You’ve led or contributed to assessments, using data and evidence to form clear conclusions and write reports.
  • Collaborative Working: You’ve worked with a range of stakeholders, such as care providers, local authorities, or user groups, to improve services or solve problems.

A Note on AIAbout AI tools can be great for research and refining ideas, but we want to learn about you. If you use AI or Chatbots to help you with your application, keep these points in mind:

  • AI can support research, structuring and refining your writing, but your application must reflect your real skills and experience.
  • Spell-checking and condensing word counts are great ways to use AI effectively.
  • Do not copy and paste AI generated answers. These will not help you stand out; remember we want to hear about your skills and experience.
  • Providing false and insincere examples goes against our core values of honesty and integrity and may lead to your application being withdrawn or termination of your employment.
