Job Description

Posted on: January 9, 2026

We're Civica and we make software that helps deliver critical services for citizens all around the world. From local to state government, to education, to health and care, over 5,000 public bodies across the globe use our software to help provide critical services to over 100 million citizens. Our aspiration is to be a GovTech champion everywhere we work around the globe, supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day. Building on 21 years of continuous growth and success, we're at a pivotal point on our journey to realise that aspiration. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape and accelerate a critical Product Consultancy function within Civica's Education offering. You'll lead a team delivering across multiple products, each supported by a dedicated consultant, within a fast-moving, high-growth area of the business. You'll have the opportunity to set clear direction, strengthen team culture, and elevate performance standards, creating an environment where consultants feel engaged, supported, and empowered to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers. Your leadership will be central to building momentum, aligning the team to Civica's values, and driving consistent, high-quality delivery. This role is ideal if you enjoy:

  • Leading with clarity and purpose, setting expectations that enable high performance
  • Enabling your team to do their best work by removing blockers such as excessive administration or conflicting demands
  • Developing and motivating people, strengthening capability through regular 1:1s, appraisals, coaching, and structured team rhythms (including 3x weekly huddles)
  • Accelerating performance in a complex, multi-product delivery environment

You'll play a key role in ensuring Civica delivers excellent implementations, on time and within budget, while protecting and maximising revenue through strong governance, utilisation management, and milestone control. You'll work closely with Sales, Business Development, Project Managers, Account Managers, and PMO to align delivery capacity with commercial priorities. Stakeholder engagement is a core part of the role. You'll build strong relationships with C-suite executives, CEOs, COOs, Business Managers, Estates Directors, and Head Teachers, positioning yourself as a trusted leader who balances commercial focus with exceptional customer experience. Most importantly, this is a role where your leadership will drive growth and scale. You'll have the opportunity to shape how consultancy services evolve, embed best practice, and accelerate performance across people, customers, and products—while supporting Civica's mission to improve public services through technology. Requirements

  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing consultancy or project teams
  • Strong service delivery and project management background (PRINCE2 preferred)
  • Experience managing budgets, utilisation, and contractual milestones
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including engagement with C-suite executives
  • Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Product Consultants, driving performance and engagement
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of multiple products on time, within budget, and to standard
  • Manage utilisation, forecasting, and contractual milestones to protect revenue
  • Act as escalation point and enable problem-solving across the team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align delivery with commercial priorities
  • Embed consistent processes, governance, and best practices across the team

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in GovTech or public sector delivery (Education a huge benefit)
  • Strong leadership and people development capabilities
  • Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders effectively
  • Commercial awareness with focus on maximising revenue and utilisation
  • Proven ability to implement best-practice delivery frameworks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
