The Old Swan Harrogate is seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part Time Bar Person to join our dedicated hospitality team. Bar Person Key Responsibilities – Harrogate Hospitality Bar Jobs

• Providing a welcoming, attentive, and professional service to all guests and visitors in the bar area.
• Serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and care.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and well-presented bar at all times, including restocking supplies and clearing tables.
• Handling card transactions securely in line with company procedures.
• Complying with licensing laws, Health & Safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Supporting colleagues across the Food and Beverage team as required, including setup and closure procedures.
• Assisting with guest enquiries, providing recommendations, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Serving delicious afternoon teas to running a Events bar, everyday is different.

Candidate Profile – Skills for a Bar Person Role

• Previous experience in bar work, pubs, hospitality, or a similar guest-facing role is welcomed, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and team members.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanour.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently, especially during busy periods.
• Comfortable working as part of a team and independently as required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rota.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and age 18+ (due to alcohol service laws).
