About the role

The Project Delivery Engineer, reporting to the Senior Project Delivery Manager, will be located in either Kintore or Burnley.

This role is particularly well suited to:

Key Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environment

• Engage with duty to take care for own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work and comply with relevant project QHSE specification requirements.
• Ensure proactive approach such that tasks and duties of self and team members are carried out in a safe manner compliant with relevant standards.
• Should HSE issues arise then manage and escalate these using the appropriate internal/external channels.

Project Coordination

• Responsible for ensuring all project management processes and where applicable digital tools are followed and signed off accordingly.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
• Assist with the development of project plans and associated communications documents.
• Assist with the control and application of all Project consumables.
• Deputise in the absence of the Senior Project Delivery Manager liaise with project stakeholders
• Support requirements for Production Schedules and reporting establish the frequency or reporting according to Project requirements.
• Ensure completion and compilation of project documentation by linking in with the engineering department.
• Manage the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Co-ordinate with Welding Operations and Coating Operations Manager to allocate required personnel and equipment from within the company where applicable.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel within project team, while operating collaboratively as part of the wider global project delivery team and peers within the EMEAA region.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations according to client requirements.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Conduct project close out meeting and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Commercial Support

• Review bid team cost budget, deliver against margin expectations.
• Identify additional revenue opportunities or potential margin erosion and act accordingly
• Understanding of contractual project requirements and support the commercial manager on the project including applications & invoices.
• Assist the Commercial managers and project admin in the preparation of forecasting for the Business Updates Briefing & Month End.
• Summarise daily site reports to facilitate the finance dept to accurately allocate labour cost to projects.
• Support the collating and reporting out aged debt and unbilled dent on a weekly basis.

Job Specific Education Required:

Desirable

• Degree level in Business Studies/Engineering/Quantity Surveyor
• Project Management qualification i.e. PRINCE2, PMP, AMP
