Junior Garment Technologist

Are you a Junior Garment Technologist with a genuine passion for performance apparel and an active lifestyle?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established activewear brand as part of a close-knit technical team based in Manchester.

Junior Garment Technologist Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in final prototype fit sessions to support smooth seasonal handover.
  • Measure and review sample garments at all stages (SMS, size sets, pre-production), coordinating fit sessions with the development team and issuing clear feedback to suppliers.
  • Oversee grading accuracy across the range, ensuring consistent fit across all sizes.
  • Prepare, review and issue bulk specifications, responding to supplier queries and managing associated comments.
  • Request, track and maintain all required product compliance documentation.
  • Organise wearer fit testing and use feedback to refine fit across non-base sizes.
  • Monitor critical path deadlines, maintaining accurate reporting and sample tracking.
  • Support seasonal launch preparation and assist production teams with quality or return-related issues.
  • Verify trims, labelling and packaging accuracy prior to bulk manufacture.
  • Manage sample stock, including regular stock checks and returns.
  • Conduct ad hoc quality control checks where required, including special projects and non-standard orders.
  • Work closely with product development, design and production teams throughout the season.
  • Contribute to regular cross-brand and compliance-related meetings to share best practice.
  • Build strong working relationships with factories and material suppliers through clear, professional communication.
  • Travel overseas occasionally to support production and ethical manufacturing standards.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with documented ISO procedures, managing updates where required.
