DeepOcean operates a fleet of industry leading offshore vessels and ROVs providing construction, maintenance, survey and inspection services to the offshore energy industry. We are now seeking a proactive and solution-oriented IT & Survey Technician to support our cutting-edge ROV operations and onboard systems.
As a Survey Technician, you will be a part of our offshore team and you will be responsible for 1st line support of Survey System, sensors as well as the IT Systems onboard. This position is part of our Europeen entity and is an offshore based position.
What YOU`ll be doing
As a valued member of our offshore team, you`ll play a key role in ensuring our onboard technical systems run smoothly:
- Maintain and monitor IT systems and survey sensors used on ROVs and vessels
- Ensure that IT Security procedures are adhered to onboard.
- Manage daily data backup routines
- Collaborate with internal and external helpdesks for technical support
- Drive improvements in system efficiency and reliability
- Oversee logistics for DeepOcean’s IT and survey assets onboard
What YOU bring
We’re looking for someone with a solid technical foundation and a hands-on attitude:
- Formal education in electronics or IT field
- Preferably a certificate of apprenticeship in data electronics or service electronics
