Drilling Tools International, Inc. is a leading provider of downhole tools for land and offshore drilling markets. For over 40 years, we have delivered exceptional customer service and high-quality products, including drill collars, stabilizers, sub-assemblies, and advanced drilling accessories.

We are seeking a Design Engineer to provide engineering service and expertise to our team. This role is central to our technical excellence, involving design and analysis for both sustaining and new product activities.

Education:•           BEng degree in Mechanical EngineeringJob Knowledge and Experience:·       Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical design of downhole oil and gas products.·       Proficient user of 3D CAD packages.·       Experience in FEA analysis. CFD analysis would also be beneficial.·       Experience in some or all: Mechanics, hydraulics, fluid flow, risk analysis, API standards.·       Computer literate including Excel and Word.·       Able to work on own initiative.·       Flexible attitude.

·       Able to work to tight deadlines and to budget.

·       Testing and assembly of downhole tools. 

·       Report writing.

Key Responsibilities/ Essential Functions of the Position:·       Create drawings and other engineering documents in accordance with engineering procedures.

·       Carry out FEA and manual calculations to support existing product lines or new products.

·       Assembly and testing of new and existing products.

·       Issue testing procedures and reports.

·       Support the workshop operations by creating and maintaining work instructions and procedures.

·       Keep project files updated in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

·       Support & Control procurement and inspection of prototype components.

·       Maintain electronic media, engineering filing system and hardware in an appropriate manner.

·       Support Sales and Marketing by creating relevant documentation such as renders, spec sheets and tool layouts.

Compensation:•           Competitive Salary, company pension and benefit package.•           37.5 hour working week•           Hybrid working is not available.
