Business Development Manager – Foodservice SouthCompany

A fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing frozen food manufacturers as a Business Development Manager.

Part of a leading European food group with operations across seven countries, the UK business specialises in producing premium private label and branded frozen and chilled snacks, including vegetarian, vegan and meat-based finger foods.

Renowned for innovation and award-winning quality, the company supplies major grocery retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice operators nationwide. With strong momentum and a robust NPD pipeline, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to further expand their presence across the southern foodservice market.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and growing sales across key wholesale and foodservice customers in the South of England.

You will manage and expand relationships with established names such as:

  • Bidfood
  • Brakes
  • Thomas Ridley Foodservice
  • JJ Foodservice
  • Kent Frozen Foods (KFF)
  • Savona Foodservice
  • Castell Howell (southern region)

In addition, experience working with major end-user accounts such as Greggs, Subway, Papa John’s, Pizza Hut, TRG, or other QSR / restaurant chains would be highly desirable.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you’ll have a clear mandate to strengthen customer partnerships, deliver growth targets, and identify opportunities for new listings and category expansion.

The Candidate

We’re seeking a results-driven and commercially minded sales professional, ideally with experience in the Foodservice channel.

You will:

  • Currently hold a field-based or account management position within food or drink
  • Have strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Demonstrate a track record of delivering growth and winning new business
  • Be confident working both strategically and hands-on in the field

Location

This is a home-based, field role, covering the South of England, with regular travel to customers and periodic visits to Head Office in South Wales.

Package

£40,000 – £45,000, Company car, 20% bonus, pension & benefits package
