Business Analyst – Contract (Outside IR35)

Location: Glenrothes, Scotland (2 days per week on-site)

Contract Length: 3 months

Day Rate: £300 per day (Outside IR35)

Overview

We are looking for a mid-level Business Analyst to support a data-focused transformation project within a housing-related environment. This role will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are clearly understood and translated into well-defined technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between business users and technical teams
• Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements
• Map and document end-to-end processes, particularly data and reporting flows
• Support data booking and reporting processes, including Power BI
• Understand and document data interactions and integrations across platforms

Technical / Systems Exposure

• Experience or understanding of some of the following is highly desirable:
• Power BI (reporting, data processes)
• Databricks
• Xledger
• Mobile and finance-related data systems
• Data integrations and data flow mapping

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data or systems-focused projects
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with on-site presence
• Housing sector experience is beneficial but not essential
