Gartsherrie Engineering Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated CAD/CAM Programmer to join our growing engineering team based in Coatbridge. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established engineering business, supporting precision manufacturing and production operations.

𝙆𝙚𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨

• Create and develop CAD/CAM drawings & programs 

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements 

• Produce accurate tooling paths and machining programs 

• Support production teams with technical guidance and continuous improvement initiatives 

• Optimise machining processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste 

• Liaise with engineers, machinists, and production staff to ensure smooth workflow 

• Maintain accurate programming and technical documentation

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

• Previous experience in a CAD/CAM programming role within an engineering or manufacturing environment 

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software packages such as Solidcam

• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and engineering drawings 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

• Knowledge of fabrication and precision engineering would be advantageous
