Senior Civil Engineer

Your new company Your new company are an established multidisciplinary consultancy with over 50 years' experience designing and delivering an incredible range of world-class projects across the UK's built environment. They boast an impressive range of clients across the public realm, healthcare, education, workplace, life science, sports & leisure, heritage and religious sectors, working on projects from £30m up to £300m+. The Northern C&S team you will join has 22 civil and structural staff, who collaborate internally with architects, project managers, MEP professionals and landscape architects. Your new role Your new role will see you join the business as a Senior Civil Engineer responsible for the high-quality infrastructure design (roads and drainage), management and delivery of a number of exciting building and public realm projects simultaneously, at different stages of design. The role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Design of projects from the early concept/masterplanning stage through to the construction/site delivery stage
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports and specifications
• Complying with Health and Safety and CDM Regulations
• Support in the management and development of team members
• Development of client relationships
• Developing good internal relationships and external consultants

What you'll need to succeed

• You will need to be an experienced Civil or Senior Civil Engineer (5+ years), with experience developing complex infrastructure designs across a wide range of sectors.
• You will have strong technical skills including drainage, highway and pavement design, S38/278/104 agreement knowledge, ground modelling, materplanning and flood risk reporting.
• Experience using a variety of design software, including AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Infodrainage/Causeway and Civil3D as well as experience working in a BIM environment.
• You will have good communication skills, be self-organised and have a passion for infrastructure design
