We're working with a rapidly expanding, family-feel manufacturing powerhouse on this exciting opportunity. This is a high-impact role for a proactive HR Generalist ready to take the lead in a fast-paced industrial environment, managing complex Employee Relations and driving peak workforce performance. This position is perfect for a visible leader who thrives on-site and enjoys mentoring junior staff. You will act as a true Business Partner, using your expertise in Employment Law and HR Systems to streamline operations and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The Role
- Lead on all complex Employee Relations (ER) matters, including autonomous handling of disciplinaries, grievances, and capability hearings.
- Manage and mentor a team of two HR Assistants, coaching them on case management and professional development.
- Partner with senior site leaders to deliver workforce planning, strategic recruitment, and proactive absence management strategies.
- Drive HR process improvement and site-wide policy development to ensure best-in-class operational standards.
- Oversee the Learning and Development (L&D) program, identifying skills gaps and implementing training solutions across all levels of the business.
What You'll Need
- Proven track record as an HR Generalist or HR Advisor, ideally within the Manufacturing, Logistics, or Engineering sectors.
- CIPD Level 5 Qualification (or equivalent professional HR certification) is essential.
- Advanced knowledge of UK Employment Law and a hands-on approach to managing high-volume, complex ER caseloads.
- Strong proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data-driven reporting to support business decisions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders in a demanding, office-based environment.
