We’re working with one of the UK’s leading student accommodation providers to appoint a General Manager for a large site in Cardiff (15-month maternity cover).
This is a hands on leadership role where you’ll combine commercial drive with people leadership. You’ll be responsible for leasing the building to full occupancy, managing budgets, and ensuring the site delivers an outstanding student experience.
You’ll lead from the front, empowering your team to perform at their best and creating a community where students feel safe, supported, and connected.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the on-site team to deliver excellent results.
- Drive lettings and sales performance to achieve full occupancy.
- Manage budgets, P&L, and overall commercial performance.
- Build strong partnerships with universities, local organisations, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance and health & safety standards are met.
- Shape a welcoming community that students are proud to call home.
About You
- Proven experience leading and motivating teams.
- Commercially focused, with experience in sales, leasing, or hitting financial targets.
- Background in PBSA is ideal, though hospitality, residential real estate, or other customer-focused sectors will also be considered.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach.
