Job Description

The client is seeking a Data Analyst to transform raw behavioral and commercial data into actionable insights for various teams, including Marketing, Trading, Product, and Retail. In this role, you will build measurement frameworks, conduct causal analyses, and develop self-serve dashboards to empower the organization to make confident, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Analysis Ownership: Translate broad questions from different teams into precise analytical briefs, execute the analyses, and provide clear recommendations.
  • Experiment Design & Evaluation: Create A/B tests and causal-inference studies, such as lift analysis and hold-out tests, and effectively communicate the results.
  • Measurement Frameworks Definition: Set appropriate KPIs and establish measurement criteria for new initiatives to ensure every launch has a defined success metric and data plan.
  • Data Foundation Scaling: Collaborate with Engineering to design efficient, accurate data sets and schemas, define requirements for new data feeds, and automate checks.
  • Self-Serve Analytics Champion: Develop and maintain dashboards, document datasets, and conduct training sessions so non-analysts can independently answer routine questions.
  • Growth Opportunities Identification: Integrate behavioral and marketing data with commercial metrics to size new products, markets, and campaigns, prioritizing by impact and effort.

What We're Looking For:

We seek a confident, curious analyst comfortable with statistics, behavioral data, and experiment design. You should be adept with SQL, product analytics tools, and conveying stories through presentations. You're proactive, independent, and constantly seeking opportunities to elevate data usage.

  • SQL Proficiency: Capable of creating exploratory queries and optimizing multi-table joins on platforms like Snowflake.
  • Product Analytics: Proficient with tools such as Heap, Amplitude, or Mixpanel, and able to set up events, funnels, and cohorts.
  • Statistical Skills: Knowledgeable in A/B testing, experiment design, and causal inference basics; able to discern actionable results.
  • Measurement Mindset: Experience in building tracking plans and KPI frameworks to define success metrics pre-launch.
  • Data Management: Skilled in modeling data with tools like dbt, automating checks, and maintaining clean, accurate feeds as they scale.
