The Technical Consultant will design and deliver high-quality Microsoft solutions across Microsoft 365 collaboration stack including Intune, Entra ID, Azure, Defender and Purview. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, the role will lead customer engagements from discovery and solution design through to implementation, documentation, knowledge transfer and successful operational handover.
Alongside customer delivery, the role will help shape Jigsaw24’s Microsoft technical strategy and go-to-market propositions. This will include developing repeatable services, technical standards and customer solutions, with a particular focus on security, Microsoft Copilot, and the responsible adoption of AI technologies.
Key duties and responsibilities are:
- Lead customer discovery and technical workshops to understand business, and operational requirements.
- Design and deliver Microsoft solutions across Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, Entra ID, Defender & Purview, working on-site or remotely as required.
- Produce clear technical documentation including low-level designs, implementation plans, statements of work, migration plans, test plans and post-implementation handover documentation.
- Act as the technical lead and primary technical contact during engagements, providing updates and managing technical risks
- Configure, migrate and optimise customer environments in line with agreed designs, Microsoft good practice and Jigsaw24 delivery standards.
- Provide customer training, knowledge transfer, and operational handover to customer teams as well as internal service desk colleagues.
- Work closely with Sales and Pre-Sales colleagues to scope opportunities, validate requirements and ensure proposed solutions are deliverable and commercially appropriate.
- Contribute to Jigsaw24's Microsoft technical strategy, identifying market shifts, emerging technologies and opportunities to strengthen our portfolio.
- Help develop repeatable propositions, delivery methodologies, reference architectures and supporting collateral, with a focus on security, Copilot and AI adoption.
- Collaborate with Microsoft, distribution partners and other vendors where required
- Mentor and upskill colleagues, share knowledge across the wider team.
- Maintain relevant technical knowledge and certifications
- Work closely with the Project Management team to ensure clear and concise customer communication and project efficiency
- Provide support for complex technical escalations where required.
Essential
- Demonstrable experience delivering customer-facing Microsoft professional services engagements in technically complex environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Entra ID, Purview and Windows 365.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration and compliance policies, application deployment, Windows Autopilot, update management and endpoint security.
- Practical Azure experience, including identity integration, governance, networking and the deployment or migration of relevant cloud services.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft security capabilities and secure-by-design principles, with experience across areas such as Microsoft Defender, Purview, Conditional Access, identity protection, endpoint security, data protection and security posture improvement.
- Windows Server experience including on-prem & cloud - ADDS & Hybrid.
- Experience with PowerShell and automation, with the ability to use scripting to improve delivery quality, repeatability and efficiency.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work, lead technical activity and deliver to agreed outcomes.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio or other enterprise AI capabilities, including readiness, governance, security, adoption and value realisation.
- Experience helping organisations adopt AI responsibly
- Experience developing technical propositions, reference architectures, service offerings or go-to-market material in security, cloud or AI.
- Knowledge of Microsoft, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Azure Virtual Desktop, Power Platform or related Microsoft cloud services
- Networking capabilities including firewall and switch configuration, vLAN creation and VPN initiation
