As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll work on projects across North Wales that make a real difference to our environment and communities, from improving flood defences to upgrading water treatment works and providing nature-based solutions that improve biodiversity. Project coverage will focus on Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy.

You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering and tender negotiation through to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. You will help ensure projects are financially viable, contractually compliant and delivered to the required standards.

The Role Of a Senior Quantity Surveyor Includes

  • Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data and analysis to assist commercial decisions.
  • Leading procurement activities and supply chain engagement to secure best value and successful project outcomes.
  • Managing commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, including tendering, procurement and performance management.
  • Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Actively challenging team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery.
  • Ensuring all project team members understand contractual arrangements and commercial obligations.
  • Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes.
  • Influencing and advising on the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
  • Creating, fostering and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client needs and ensuring clear communication at all times.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior commercial staff.
  • Aspiration for development into management role in the future
  • Working across project sites in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy, with flexibility to work from home or the Kinmel Park office.

What You'll Need

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience and knowledge of NEC contracts.
  • Experience in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience leading the commercial management of multidisciplinary construction projects.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior commercial staff.
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across North Wales.
