Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of this role is to assist the Export Manager in the smooth running
of the Export/Import department. Sales orders will be generated using Sage ERP X3
computer system and full responsibility will be taken from acknowledging the order
to organising its exportation. This will involve liaising with clients and handling
general queries predominantly associated with importation and exportation.
Main duties/responsibilities
• Responsible for processing and progressing customer orders, enquiries
and quotations.
• Creating shipping documents using Formwise – worldwide.
• Organising paperwork for imported products – worldwide.
• Negotiating freight costs and contact freight agents etc. as necessary.
• Finalise certificates of shipment and other documents as required.
• Liaise with Accounts department regarding freight invoices and other
purchase invoices as required.
• Maintaining up-to-date records of customer’s price lists.
• Respond to website enquiries and liaise with distributors.
• Work together and liaise closely with PestWest export department.
• Organise shipments of both PestWest and Killgerm
• General administration
• To ensure the Company operates within the relevant export laws and
procedures.
Skills and QualificationsEssential
• Experience and knowledge in Import/Export is essential
• Computer Literacy Skills – Microsoft Excel knowledge is essential
• Customer Service skills
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Attention to detail
• Organisation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative
Desirable
• Experience and knowledge of Dangerous Goods is highly desirable
• Previous experience of a Sage/Formwise system is desirable
