Observability Engineer
Job Description
Posted on: August 28, 2025
Some people glance at a system and see code. If you’re in Observability, then you’ll see a living, breathing organism with a story of logs, metrics, and traces. This is the person who can make sense of that story, spotting the first whisper of a problem long before it turns into a full-blown outage.
This is part of a wider Platform team where days are delightfully unpredictable. One morning might be spent coaxing a complex Kubernetes cluster into sharing its secrets, the afternoon designing a new telemetry pipeline that feeds data into Prometheus, Grafana, and Dynatrace like a well-trained orchestra. The team is equally at home in AWS, Azure, or GCP, moving confidently between Linux and Windows, and sprinkling Infrastructure as Code magic with Terraform or Ansible.
When you’re not optimising SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets, you’re sharing their hard-won wisdom, mentoring team members, and embedding observability best practices into every project they touch.
This is part of a community that values technical excellence as much as it values collaboration and humour. You’ll get to experiment with cutting-edge tech, attend conferences, and be part of a global consultancy with the spirit of a close-knit team. It’s a place where great engineering meets great people, and where keeping systems healthy is just as important as keeping the engineers smiling.
