Job Description

Posted on: May 2, 2026

You will join one of the UK’s leading financial services companies, who have built their success by putting people at the heart of their organisation by identifying and delivering products and services that are right for their customers. My client is looking for a Senior MI & Reporting Analyst to play a key role in transforming how management information and resource data is designed, managed and reported across a large, complex function.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of core MI datasets, ensuring data is accurate, well‑governed and fit for purpose. You’ll help build a “single source of truth”, streamline reporting, and introduce smarter ways of warehousing, mapping and visualising data to support senior decision‑making.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate these into insightful, impactful MI solutions. This is a highly influential role for someone who enjoys driving change, setting standards and continuously improving how data is used.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain high‑quality base data that underpins planning and management information
  • Lead improvements in how data is transformed, stored and reported, reducing manual effort
  • Design and produce insightful MI outputs (e.g. dashboards, heatmaps, RAG views)
  • Drive the adoption of tools and automation to improve reporting efficiency and quality
  • Apply and promote data standards, controls and governance frameworks
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful insight that supports strategic decisions

Essential Skills

  • Extensive experience in data modelling, analysis and MI report development
  • Advanced Excel skills, including strong VBA and Power Query capability
  • Experience building dashboards and visualisations (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar)
  • The ability to explain complex data clearly and tell a compelling story through insight
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior leaders

Benefits

  • Salary up to £60,000 + up to 20% bonus
  • Hybrid working: Once a week in the office
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (option to buy and sell)
  • Life assurance (6x annual salary)
  • Personal pension with matched contributions
  • Ongoing training and opportunities for development
