Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Where will you be working? We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure. This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment. Want to be a part of it? What will you be doing? You'll handle all measurement and reconciliation of subcontractor accounts, material and plant costs along with collating, coding and supply of plant, material and labour site returns to Quantity Surveyors. You'll assist with subcontract order and payments process and the creation of maintenance Project Procurement Schedules, under direction, to aid Commercial and Operational Team in delivery. We'll need you to assist with the management, preparation and distribution of Subcontract tender enquires and undertake costing activities, under direction, to support the Quantity Surveyors in Change Control submission to the client. Due to the nature of the role you'll need to provide accurate and timely data to support the creation of interim and final account applications and month end reporting. What You’ll Bring

• Do you have proven experience with civil engineering/utilities? This would be desired.
• Are you someone who has good computer literacy with experience MS office including Excel, Outlook and Word?
• Are you proactive and someone who takes pride in the accuracy and quality of their work and can identify priorities and meet deadlines?
• Can you deal with large amounts of data efficiently?
