Company Description Maple House School is an independent special school catering to young people aged 5 to 19 with Autism or similar Special Educational Needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school supports those for whom mainstream education has not been suitable, including students considered as EBSA/EBSNA (emotionally-based school avoidance or non-attendance). The educational approach includes a full academic pathway complemented by vocational programs, entry-level qualifications, and Functional Skills up to GCSE Level. Role Description This is an on-site role for a Speech And Language Therapist, based in Bournville, Birmingham. The therapist will be responsible for assessing and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students, and collaborating with educational staff to develop individualised educational plans. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as conducting assessments, delivering interventions, monitoring progress, and documenting treatment plans and outcomes. Qualifications
- Skills in Speech Therapy, Speech
- Experience with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant qualifications in Speech and Language Therapy
- Experience working with young people with Autism and SEN is a plus
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment
