Commercial, growth-driving Finance Director role in a strategic c£35m EBIT division

The Company

A multi-site, acquisitive c£35m EBIT division, positioned as the platform for the Group’s future growth. Operating in renewable energy solutions, the business aims to double EBIT by 2030 through organic growth and acquisitions. Working closely with the Managing Director, the Finance Director will shape and deliver this agenda through commercial insight, disciplined execution and strategic M&A.

The Role

Full ownership of financial leadership across the division, including:

• Driving commercial strategy, P&L, budget and 3-year plan
• Identifying high-growth segments and develop repeatable revenue streams
• Supporting M&A, capital deployment and integration
• Leading the finance function (controllership, FP&A, governance, compliance)
• Standardising processes, strengthening controls and improving working capital
• Providing challenge to commercial and operational teams
• Developing KPIs, forecasting and performance insights
• Assessing ERP capability and supporting operational improvement
• Building a high-performance culture and developing finance talent

The Candidate

Commercially driven and strategic Finance Director with:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and strong post-qualification experience
• P&L ownership and commercial acumen gained in a business of scale
• Hands-on, pragmatic problem-solving approach
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills
• M&A exposure advantageous
• Ideally currently living in the North West of England
