The Role
Reporting into our Financial Controller, as our Assistant Accountant, you will provide essential support to the Finance team in managing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. You will focus on ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, expenses, and payments, as well as maintaining clear and up-to-date financial records.
Supporting multiple construction projects, you will also help to monitor budgets, track project costs, and liaise with project and site teams to ensure financial information is recorded correctly and in line with company policies.
This role offers excellent exposure to project-based finance within a growing organisation, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their career in finance.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor budgets and ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Help to resolve compliance issues
- Raising requisitions
- Processing supplier invoices
- Manage input of payment run / loading payments
- Issuing the bank statements
- Managing Expense claims and petty cash
- Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
- Helping to produce cash flow summaries / budgets
- Liaising with suppliers, clients and other departments on payment queries
- Produce and maintain invoicing for Board Members
Your Experience & SkillsEssential Criteria
- Qualified/part qualified status or working towards qualified status
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exceptional numeracy skills
- All-rounder with MS packages
- Natural problem solver
Desirable Criteria
- Payroll experience
