At the same time, it provides unmatched mechanical performance and features. As we scale this year, we are seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead to join our team.

The Role

As Business Development Lead, your primary role will be to shape and drive Nanoloom’s commercial strategy, positioning our fibre as the sustainable material of choice for the fashion and apparel industry. You will develop strategic partnerships, build a pipeline of customers, and create scalable routes to market. Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, you will ensure Nanoloom’s technology translates into global commercial impact.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a start-up environment, enjoys building partnerships from the ground up, and is motivated by both sustainability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Nanoloom’s go-to-market and commercial strategy.
  • Identify, engage, and close partnerships with apparel brands, manufacturers, and distributors.
  • Lead pricing, market-entry, and sales models for Nanoloom’s fibre.
  • Support investor and stakeholder communications and outreach.
  • Work with product and marketing teams to craft compelling customer narratives.
  • Support the team on grant applications and reporting
  • Gather market insights to inform product development and scaling.
  • Represent Nanoloom at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Support investor and stakeholder communications on commercial progress.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in commercial, business development, or sales leadership.
  • Strong network in apparel, textiles, or related manufacturing industries.
  • Track record of successfully closing strategic deals and scaling early-stage products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving start-up environment.
  • Passion for sustainability, innovation, and reshaping industries for the better.
