The Opportunity

A leading, independent construction consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate-level Project Manager to join their growing Birmingham team. This is a key strategic hire within an established and expanding office, offering the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, contribute to business development, and play a visible role in the leadership and direction of the regional team.

With a strong pipeline across industrial, logistics, residential, and education sectors, the business is seeking someone with relevant sector experience and a passion for quality, collaboration, and proactive delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading project delivery from inception through to completion (RIBA Stages 0–7) across multiple schemes
• Acting as the client’s key point of contact and managing multidisciplinary teams
• Delivering programme, cost, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle
• Managing stakeholder relationships and navigating complex governance structures
• Providing contract administration (NEC, JCT) and procurement oversight
• Supporting junior staff through mentoring, technical input, and team development
• Contributing to work winning, proposal writing, and client engagement activity
• Representing the business with professionalism, technical excellence, and commercial awareness

What We’re Looking For

• Proven project management experience within a consultancy or client-side environment
• Sector background in industrial/manufacturing preferred; residential or education also considered
• Track record of delivering projects in the £5m–£50m+ range
• Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts (NEC, JCT) and project governance
• Confident communicator and comfortable leading client-facing relationships
• Professionally qualified or working towards (MAPM, RICS, CIOB or equivalent)
• Ambitious, collaborative, and motivated by quality, value and long-term partnerships
