Role Description
This is a full-time on-site and mobile role for a Generator Engineer based in South Wales. The Generator Engineer will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing power generation equipment. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, performing preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and conducting on-site servicing. This will also include on-call for out of hours (1 week in every 4).
Qualifications
- Hands-on skills in generator maintenance, repair, and fault diagnosis
- Experience in mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and industry regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work on-site and during extended hours as required (Out of Hours On Call is part of this role)
- Relevant certifications and/or qualifications in engineering or a related field are highly desirable
- A valid UK driver’s license is essential
