Title: Procurement Manager

Sector: Public Sector (Rail Transportation)

Location: Derby/Hybrid (2 days in the office)

Salary & Package: up to £52,000 + bonus + free train travel + strong pension and additional benefits

Sea Global are proud to be partnering with a well-recognised organsiation at the forefront of the Transport industry. They are looking to add a Procurement professional to their Indirect Procurement team and are open to people from a range of industries who have experience with Public Contract Regulations 2015 / Procurement Act 2023

This role will be focusing on construction and infrastructure projects so any experience with NEC4 or JCT contracts is a bonus!

Ideally, they are looking for someone who can come in a hit the ground running but you will be working in a strong team who are a tight knit bunch and can help upskill you where needed.

This role is an amazing opportunity to get involved with a leading, household name, Rail company, where you will be working on exciting projects and be able to get stuck in from day one.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Report into and work closely with the Senior Managers and wider Procurement team
  • End to end procurement, including leading tenders, sourcing and supplier management
  • Make sure Public Sector Procurement regulations are adhered to
  • Develop and implement strategic category strategies across the designated categories
  • Create contractual agreements with supplies ensuring they are fit for purpose and deliver commerciality to the business

Experience & Requirements

  • Experience within generalist indirect, construction, or infrastructure categories
  • Experience working within a regulated environment and will have exposure to Public Contract Regulations (PCR 2015) / Procurement Act 2023
  • NEC4 or JCT experience is desirable but not at all essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent supplier management skills
  • CIPS or working towards is desirable but not essential
