Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a leading law firm in the West Midlands for a Credit Controller to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be required to work in a team responsible for proactively managing and reducing debt.

Key Responsibilities

• Reducing aged debt via management of debtor balances.
• Regular written and verbal contact with debtors once payments are overdue, and timely query resolutions.
• Taking and issuing receipts on-site and over the telephone.
• Posting items to ledgers.
• Preparing statements and breakdowns of accounts.
• Issuing Court proceedings for unpaid debts.
• Where necessary, helping wider accounts team with recording of receipts and payments, as well as processing of payments using HSBCnet.

Candidate Criteria

• At least 2 years’ experience in credit control.
• Proficient in IT.
• Great communicator and negotiator.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of and ability to clearly explain financial matters.
• Able to work to deadlines.
• Clear basic DBS check.
