SIEGENIA GROUP is German-based manufacturer of high-quality window and door hardware, ventilation solutions and access control systems with around 2000 staff worldwide. The family-owned company has been running for over 100 years and is renowned for its quality of products and high service levels.

Their UK subsidiary, established over 30 years ago and based in Coventry, is responsible for sales, distribution and technical support for the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The job:Purpose of Role

SIEGENIA is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain the integrity of the balance sheet, and manage statutory compliance. Salary for the role is £16,000 per annum (FTE: £40,000). The expectation is that around 10 of the 15 hours per week be worked from the Coventry office.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close

• Post accruals and prepayments
• Journal entries
• Fixed asset accounting
• Intercompany reconciliations

Balance Sheet Control

• Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain aged debt report
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain reconciliation tracker

Tax & Compliance

• Prepare VAT returns
• Support corporation tax pack
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation
• Maintain audit files and supporting schedules

Systems & Controls

• Maintain chart of accounts
• Review coding accuracy
• Support process improvements

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Excellent reconciliation skills
• Detail-oriented
• Strong Excel capability

Desirable:

·       Experience with SAP
