Job DescriptionSpire Cardiff Hospital | Governance, Quality and Compliance Administrator | Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week Are you an experienced administrator with a strong background in governance and compliance. Spire Cardiff Hospital is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Clinical Governance team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care. About The Role Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, you will provide essential administrative support across governance, quality assurance, and compliance. This is a varied and role where your organisational skills and attention to detail will help ensure our clinical standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
- Support the hospital’s audit programme, including monitoring compliance with AMaT and ensuring timely completion of monthly and quarterly audits.
- Maintain and update the hospital’s database of local policies, ensuring document control processes are followed.
- Assist in monitoring and managing the DATIX incident reporting system, including reminders and tracking close-out actions.
- Provide administrative support for PSQR activities and clinical governance forums.
- Attend governance meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and manage action trackers.
- Act as a point of contact for staff regarding governance-related queries.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare setting.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Confident communicator with a compassionate and professional approach.
- Able to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems effectively.
- Experience with audit systems (e.g., AMaT) and incident reporting tools (e.g., DATIX) is desirable.
Working Hours Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 Contract: Permanent Benefits
