Ecommerce Integration Engineer

Synchro are working with a leading UK organisation within the distribution sector to hire an Ecommerce Integration Engineer to support and evolve a high-volume ecommerce and ERP ecosystem.

This business operates a large-scale Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform fully integrated with a major ERP system through custom development and automation middleware. You’ll join a collaborative Web & IT team focused on optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing integrations between ecommerce, ERP, and third-party systems - ensuring data accuracy, operational efficiency, and a seamless customer journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance and support ecommerce functionality, including payment, shipping, and third-party integrations
• Monitor and troubleshoot data flows between ecommerce, ERP, and external systems
• Build and maintain integrations using automation platforms (e.g. Workato or similar)
• Improve existing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce errors
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions
• Support documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience with ecommerce platforms (Magento / Adobe Commerce desirable)
• Experience with automation tools (Workato, Zapier, Power Automate, N8N etc.)
• Understanding of REST APIs and JSON
• Working knowledge of JavaScript, Python, C#, or similar
• Ability to write SQL queries for troubleshooting
