Purpose & Scope of the Role As a Key Member Of Our Technical Delivery Team, You’ll Support Maritime Team Leaders In Delivering High-quality Design Services To Clients Across The Ports And Maritime Sectors. You’ll Contribute To
- Concept, preliminary, and detailed design of civil and maritime infrastructure
- Production of design drawings and technical reports
- Contract administration and site inspections
- Structural condition surveys and assessments
Reporting to the Director of Ports and Maritime, you’ll be part of a passionate team delivering innovative solutions across the UK and Ireland. - Strong understanding of civil/structural engineering principles
- Experience with Eurocodes and design software
- Proficiency in CAD and Microsoft Office
- Health & Safety awareness
- A proactive and adaptable mindset
Problem Solving & Quality Assurance
- Attention to detail and ability to analyse and solve technical challenges
- Ability to work independently and take direction from senior engineers
Team Collaboration & Communication
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Confidence in preparing clear and logical engineering reports
MANDATORY Training & Qualification Requirements
- MEng or BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
BENEFICIAL Training, Qualifications, or Equivalent Work Experience
- Progress toward Chartered status
- Experience in maritime or civil infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with BIM processes and 3D modelling tools
