This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a Finance Analyst, covering corporate directorates including Workforce and Training & Education. University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), situated in the West End of London, is one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom and provides first class acute and specialist services both locally and to patients from throughout the UK and abroad. Responsible to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance you will work in partnership with the relevant directors and service leads to provide an all-round financial management service including planning, forecasting, cost improvement identification and tracking and providing support to business cases. The Trust receives approximately £40m funding annually to support education and Training and a key part of this role is to ensure the funding is managed and allocated out across the Trust to support educational needs. There is also a growing focus on Trusts to clearly demonstrate how the funding it receives is being spent and this role will be essential in developing and maintaining the financial modelling required to support this. In addition, the role will role will oversee the Workforce Directorate which will involve a more conventional financial management service to be provided but will also offer plentiful challenges and developmental opportunities. You will be expected to make an active contribution into the running of the Finance department, generating service improvement ideas and to deputise as and when required for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance. You will be a strong communicator and will be able to work with non-Finance staff to present complex financial information in ways which will ensure engagement and understanding. The post holder will be based at 250 Euston Road in offices across the road from the main hospital site and there will also be the flexibility to work remotely for part of the working week.
