Salary: £135,000-£150,000

Venator Search are partnered with a U.S.-listed financial services institution seeking to hire a Financial Controller for their Group Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage a team of six qualified accountants and be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with internal controls under SOx.

The Role

• Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial information and reporting within areas of responsibility, including management accounts.
• Manages the annual audit process and the production of statutory accounts for legal entities within scope.
• Leads on complex accounting matters involving large or non-routine transactions.
• Drives continuous improvements in management accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring effective business support and a first-class service delivery.
• Supports significant M&A activity, including integration and reporting-related tasks.
• Specialises in ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes–Oxley Act, with a focus on risk assessment, internal control and compliance monitoring

The Candidate

• Qualified Accountant (ACA or CA) with 7+ years of experience.
• Trained within a Big Four accounting firm.
• In-house experience at a large, complex U.S.-listed organisation.
• Strong understanding of SOX compliance and financial reporting standards.
• Proven team management experience.
• Involved in finance transformation projects and process improvement initiatives.
