Vivo Talent are working with a well-established and growing SaaS company to recruit a hands-on Lead Automation Engineer to own and elevate automation across one of their product suites. This is a technical leadership role where you’ll shape automation strategy, build scalable frameworks and embed quality at the heart of how they deliver their solutions.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to create a robust automation ecosystem that supports fast delivery without compromising quality. If you love ownership, solving complex problems and influencing how teams think about testing and quality, this one’s for you.

What you’ll do

• Define and drive the automation strategy
• Design and build automation frameworks covering UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable validation
• Champion best practices in quality engineering and testing
• Partner with engineers to improve coverage, resilience, and confidence in delivery
• Mentor and uplift automation capability across the team
• Support production by helping diagnose defects and quality risks

What we’re looking for

• Strong, hands-on automation engineering experience (frameworks built from scratch)
• Solid coding skills (e.g. C#, React) across UI and API layers
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines
• A pragmatic problem-solver who cares deeply about software quality
• Comfortable working in agile environments
