We have teams based in the following locations - with WSP's hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working - Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Guildford, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Reading and Southampton. About The Liveable Places Team Liveable Places work with a wide range of local authority clients from across the UK to help them achieve their place-making ambitions. We deliver a wide range of schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, traffic engineering, transport planning, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian / traffic modelling, active travel, and parking. We have had recent key successes with Gloucestershire County Council, West Sussex County Council, East Sussex County Council, West Berkshire Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, West of England Combined Authorities, Devon County Council, National Highways, Westminster City Council and many, many more. The Liveable Places team is based in offices across the country with over 200 staff currently making up the team, with further growth planned. We have a strong track record working closely with our clients and this role provides a great opportunity to have a pivotal role within Liveable Places and help support and steer its growth going forward. Typical Areas Of Work Include
- Street design and highways improvements
- Public realm and placemaking
- Parking strategies and Traffic Regulation Orders
- Traffic signals and intelligent traffic systems
- Road safety audits and safety improvement programmes
- Movement modelling and assessing how people use places
- Policy development around mobility, transport and inclusivity
- Client engagement, consultation and stakeholder management
Who We’re Interested In Hearing From We welcome expressions of interest from individuals at all career stages with experience in any of the following areas:
- Highway Engineering
- Project Management
- Urban Design
- Traffic Signalling Engineering
- People Movement Modelling
- Parking (strategy or design)
- Road Safety (including RSA qualifications)
- Gender Inclusive Design or inclusive mobility
