Event Details:

Attendees will have the chance to speak directly with local employers who will provide detailed information about the available roles and answer any questions.
Careers advisers from Working Wales will also be present to offer free employability support, including help with CV writing, interview preparation, and tips for completing applications.
The event is open to anyone aged 16 and over, and no pre-booking is required.
Chelsea Dopson, stakeholder engagement adviser at Careers Wales, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We’re thrilled to bring employers and job seekers together for this recruitment event in Newport. Whether you’re interested in an apprenticeship or exploring other employment options, this event is the perfect place to make connections. We’re here to help you explore all the possibilities available.”
Laura Edmunds, business support manager at Newport Norse, added, “Newport Norse is excited to attend the fair to give attendees insight into what we do and the opportunities we have available. We currently have cleaning vacancies but may be looking for apprenticeships in the future, making this event a great opportunity to engage with young people.”
Lici Eastman, apprenticeship manager at ONS, highlighted that “Apprenticeships at the Office for National Statistics (ONS) offer a unique opportunity to learn on the job while shaping the future of data and statistics. By joining the ONS as an apprentice, you’ll work on real projects, bring fresh ideas, and grow your career in a dynamic environment. We look forward to connecting with potential candidates at the Newport fair.”
Working Wales is delivered by Careers Wales and funded by the Welsh Government to provide careers guidance and employability support for those aged 16 and above.
