From Boca Juniors to Stamford Bridge

Rising Through the Ranks at Boca Juniors
Barco joined the Boca Juniors academy in 2013 and made his senior debut in 2021. That same year, he helped the reserve team clinch their league title, showcasing his early promise.
First Senior Goal and Continental Success
In June 2023, Barco scored his first senior goal during a Copa Libertadores group-stage victory over Monagas. His celebrations marked a pivotal moment, as Boca Juniors went on to reach the final, finishing as runners-up.
International Debut and Premier League Move
March 2024 saw Barco earn his first call-up to Argentina's senior squad, making his debut in a friendly against El Salvador. Shortly after, he moved to the Premier League with Brighton, making seven appearances across all competitions.
Loan Spells and European Adventures
At the start of the 2024/25 season, Barco joined Sevilla on loan, making nine appearances. He then embarked on a second loan spell with Strasbourg, which later became a permanent move. With Strasbourg, he reached the semi-final of the UEFA Conference League last season.
Shining on the International Stage
Barco scored his first goal for Argentina in a 5-0 win over Zambia, and added another in a World Cup warm-up match against Iceland in June 2026. His performances earned him a spot in Argentina's 2026 World Cup squad, where he featured against Jordan in the group stage.
